Becoming a Road safety Authority Approved Driving Instructor (ADI)
Step One
Fill out and send an ADI application to the RSA, along with a garda vetting request. These are available from the RSA website.
Tax clearance certificate will also need to be sent with your application. This is available from Revenue at

Step 2
Once you have received an eligibility number from the RSA, you can now apply for an ADI Theory Test, Stage 1 of the ADI examination, for the categories in which you wish to instruct.
