Approved Driving Instructor (ADI) Training
South West School of Motoring Approved Driving Instructor (ADI) Training Service.
If you are in receipt of payments from social welfare, you may be eligible for a training grant of up to €1000.
Becoming a Road safety Authority Approved Driving Instructor (ADI)
Fill out and send an ADI application to the RSA, along with a garda vetting request. These are available from the RSA website.
Tax clearance certificate will also need to be sent with your application. This is available from Revenue at
Once you have received an eligibility number from the RSA, you can now apply for an ADI Theory Test, Stage 1 of the ADI examination, for the categories in which you wish to instruct.
